Introduction

The purpose of this blog is to provide information about the burgeoning dental tourism industry of Costa Rica, its dental providers, and the advantages/disadvantages of choosing this avenue for dental treatments. The blog will also discuss treatment alternatives, furnish needed information, and offer resources to those prospective dental patients seeking such information. It will also congratulate those who have had successful dental treatments, and offer support to those who have had an unsuccessful dental experience in Costa Rica.

The initial content of this blog will be gleaned from my postings in the Topix forum thread entitled "Dentist in Costa Rica," and the next set will contain brand-new information. I will try to encourage other posters in the above forum to share their comments in this blog with proper warning that they refrain from making any endorsements of Costa Rican dental providers. This blog will ensure that it maintains its objective stance, free from marketing and advertising of dental services, so that it upholds its credibility as purely a resource tool.

For prospective dental patients, I hope that the information here provides the learning and informed decision-making necessary prior to undertaking such a high-risk endeavor of going to another country for dental treatment purposes. For those other dental patients who already have gone, whether they are successful or not, I hope that you find some value in sharing your ideas with us here.

My vision for this blog is to keep inundating the public with information, so that they can make better and more informed decisions toward their dental care. In the future, I hope to expand this blog's content to extend a wider reach to a global audience.
